Celtic new Bhoy, Liam Shaw, took to Twitter to thank Sheffield Wednesday and their fans as he departs The Owls to embark on a new chapter in his career at Paradise. Shaw signed a pre contract after weeks of negotiations and the youngster couldn’t hide his delight at finally sealing the deal, “Thank you to @swfc especially the fans. Until the last kick of the season I will give my all. SWFC will always be special for me. On July 1, I will join at @CelticFC – a move which is impossible for me to turn down.”

The versatile teenager is a born and bred Owl but decided to make the switch to Glasgow after he described his reasons to join the famous Hoops, “After discussing the options with my family, I have decided to take on a new challenge and so, I’ve agreed to join Celtic, one of the most famous and prestigious clubs in the world, on July 1.”
Would you have John Kennedy as next Celtic manager?
YES
NO
Shaw goes on to thank Celtic for an “amazing opportunity” and it is clear from the replies to his tweet that Sheffield Wednesday fans are gutted to see him go. There were also many replies that were not so gracious but that is par for the course when a player who is a fan of the club leaves. Just ask Kieran Tierney.
However, it seems that the Hoops have snapped themselves up a very good player with exciting ability and the hope for the Parkhead faithful is that Shaw can make his mark on the side to help bring the Scottish Premiership title back to Celtic Park.
