The usual talk surrounding Celtic’s transfers mostly happen, clearly, around the transfer window time.

It’s a period where rumours are circling, speculation is high and excitement is rife amongst the supporters at who is going to join their club.

As Ange Postecoglou spoke today about his scouting network in a brilliant interview with Australian media, there is one player already at the club that the Celtic manger has at his disposal that he must be looking at to sign permanently.

Not Jota. Well of course Jota, but Cameron Carter-Vickers is another that needs brought to the club when his loan deal ends. And this could happen if the Tottenham managers latest comments are to be listened to.

Speaking to the media [The Daily Record], Antonio Conte was speaking about how the London clubs transfer business needs to get better if they are to improve as a team, but also made very interesting comments regarding the clubs loan policy ,“Usually you buy players to reinforce your team.

“But if you send on loan after two or three years it is strange.

“It means that maybe in the past you have to see what you did and maybe to understand that there were some mistakes.

“We have to pay more attention in the future when we go into the market.

“It becomes a fundamental importance if we want to enforce the team, otherwise you drop the quality of your team.”

Now let me say from the off, he is not suggesting that Carter Vickers is a drop in quality, but he is suggesting that maybe they need to look at the big defenders future as he clearly has been loaned out an incredible SEVEN times (including this season).

Conte will be looking to offload the player. That much seems certain and as this site reported a couple of weeks ago, Conte can’t strengthen without offloading and that should strengthen Celtic’s hand in future negotiations.
