As Celtic continue their pursuit of Cameron Carter-Vickers could be given a helping hand after Tottenham Hotspurs latest announcement.

The English Premier League club have recently announced a reshuffle in which their Technical Director, Steve Hitchen, left the club on February 2nd.

According to a report [Football Insider], all transfer deals could now be left to Antonio Conte which could help drive the sale of Carter-Vickers.

Vital Celtic reported back in January that the London club needed to sell players in order to bring more in and this news could mean that the Hoops could get Cameron Carter-Vickers for a cut price deal as Antonio Conte looks to rebuild his team in the summer.

It has been suggested that Carter-Vickers could cost Celtic north of £5m but that figure was quashed by a prominent Spurs podcaster, The Lillywhite Rose, who suggested that the fee is more likely to be round the £2.5-£3m mark.

Spurs made a pre tax loss of over £80m in the first half of 2021 and, although modest in terms of English salaries, the could free themselves of £20,000 per week [Salary Sport] if they decide to let Carter-Vickers join Celtic in the summer.

Carter Vickers has been in sensational from for Celtic this season helping the club win the Premier Sports Cup and guiding them to the top of the league whilst creating the Scottish Premierships meanest defence.

Celtic should look to test Spurs resolve to bring the big American international to Glasgow permanently.
