Celtic fans want to see more of young winger Mikey Johnston after he made a rare start for the club on Saturday against Partick Thistle.
Starting just his third match for the club and making his eight appearance overall, the 19-year-old was a real live-wire throughout his time on the pitch, at times looking like the player with the most confidence to make something happen in the final third.
His decision making isn’t quite there yet, a feature of his game that would undoubtedly improve with more appearances, but he does look to have the ability to make things happen at first-team level.
The question coming out of the match was whether he should now get more chances in Brendan Rodgers’ team or whether he should in fact be sent out on loan.
Regular action elsewhere could do wonder for his game, with the chance to return to the club in January or next summer and really push for a starting position at the Hoops.
It appears many fans would prefer him to stick around though, with 69% of respondents to a poll we published at the weekend believing that Rodgers should give him more opportunities.
