Celtic’s frustrating start to the season continued on Sunday, losing 2-1 to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park having initially led in the game thanks to a Leigh Griffiths strike.

Steve Clarke’s side fully deserved their win against the Scottish champions, with the Hoops looking like a shadow of the side that stormed to two successive treble winning successes.

Killie snatched the three points right at the death, with familiar poor defending ensuring that we finished the weekend in sixth position, six points behind league leaders Hearts.

Fingers were pointed at a variety of under performing stars on the afternoon, with Scott Sinclair finding himself on the receiving end of more blame than most after a fairly dire hour on the pitch from the start.

The 29-year-old hadn’t started since the 3-0 win over FK Suduva in UEFA Europa League qualifying but was trusted to add an attacking spark to Brendan Rodgers’ starting eleven.

Fans though were not impressed, with many taking to Twitter to share their displeasure at his form in 2018. Some are even calling for him to be moved on as soon as possible…
