Celtic are through to the next round of UEFA Champions League qualifying after drawing against Rosenborg on Wednesday night but fans weren’t happy with the performance of Scott Sinclair.

The 0-0 result in Trondheim was enough to advance after the 3-1 win against the Norwegians in the first leg, with the Hoops progressing to face Greek champions AEK Athens.

It was a professional performance from Brendan Rodgers’ men and a good clean sheet, with the second half performance especially frustrating the home side in Trondheim.

One player that didn’t escape criticism from supporters though was winger Scott Sinclair, who again looked like a completely different performer compared to the one that tore defences apart in his debut season at the club.

He was wasteful in possession and struggled with his passing and dribbling all night.

Is it now time for Brendan Rodgers to drop him from the first team?

  • I thought Scotty played solid. Never stopped running and wanting the call. Maybe everything didn’t vibe off but the man gave his all. Surely this is the time to get behind him instead of getting in his back. I didn’t hear any moans in the first year. He’s one of our own!!

    • Sinclair, had a very good second half, certainly looked poor in the first, but still a top player, we,re lucky to have him.

  • I think that people should stop blaming scott Sinclair for everything as i thought the hole teAm dident play well specially the defence terrible we were lucky that it aas just rosenborg and not a top team as we be out buy now

  • Let’s not lie. Off the field he has been racially abused and that can have a huge impact. People abusing him at an airport etc. All because he plays for celtic. Has just had a new kid as well. Maybe needs better players around him. Celtic were woeful last night far worse players than sinclair. Hendry is a charlatan. Thought gamboa had a great game

  • Sinclair is too lazy never left the centre circle and their right back had a field day. KT doesn’t even pass to him anymore and its having adverse effect on his performances and consequently the rest of the defence
