It’s a move all Celtic fans want to see happening.

Even after last nights unfortunate 3-2 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen, Celtic’s on loan winger Jota, impressed the fans with not only his goal, but his all round performance.

But what all the fans want to know, is the club is going to make the loan move permanent for the hugely popular winger?

The general feeling amongst the support is that moves should be made to make the move permanent in January.

No waiting about. Just get it done.

But with the fee already agreed between the clubs, is there a rush to get the move completed?

It may well be out of Celtic’s hands according to former Rangers defender Alan Hutton.

Hutton was speaking to Football Insider, when he warned the fans that it’s not just Celtic that hold all the aces when it comes to signing the 22 year old Portuguese, “What’s the fee, £6-6.5million, if they want to make it permanent?

“It’s a number Celtic can afford and I think they’d want to tie him down if they can.

“Will he want to wait until the end of the season and keep his options open? I would have thought so. He’ll want all the cards.

“He’ll want them all and then make a decision. So I think that’s probably what will happen.

“If he can continue this form up until the end of the season, obviously Celtic will be desperate to keep him.

“Then he will obviously have options, so it will be up to the player then.”

Celtic fans will be hoping he is wrong and that Jota is just as keen to stay at the Hoops as much as they want him to stay.

But until that announcement is made, the Hoops fans will just need to sit tight.
