Remember Roger Mitchell? The former SPL Chief Executive from yesteryear?

Well the self confessed Celtic fan has been known on social media platform, Twitter, for his rantings about the club, mostly negative and this morning it was no different.

After Celtic rounded off their Europa League campaign with an impressive 3-2 home victory over Real Betis, many fans where delighted that a team filled with players that have hardly featured this season stepped up to the plate and held their own against a side third in La Liga.

Players like Liam Shaw, Osaze Urhogide and Ewan Henderson all gave a great account of themselves as did Adam Montgomery.

But even after the mess that Ange Postecoglou has inherited when he arrived in June, not on Celtic fan was expecting the team to compete in Europe and even domestically because of the size of the rebuild.

The fact that Celtic are still in Europe beyond Christmas, in the final of a major cup competition AND only four points off the top of the league is a testament to the brilliant job that Postecoglou has done in such a short space of time.

But this, seemingly, is not enough for Mitchell. The man who claims he has plans to buy the club took to Twitter to have a dig at the club again after their exit from the Europa League:

It really is a strange tweet considering every Celtic fans knows where we are compared to where we were supposed to be.

According to many (in the media and some of the fan base) the team was never meant to be anywhere near Europe, the top of the league or in cup finals and the Celtic fans reacted to Mitchell’s tweet to remind him of that:
