Who would have thought it?

Arsenal are about to add to the Celtic coffers (hopefully) after allowing Alexander Lacazette to leave the club for free.

According to Football Scotland, the Frenchman is set to join Lyon after his contract expired with The Gunners and that could pave the way for former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele to leave the club.

That could mean that Celtic could be in line for a small fortune this summer as the club is due 15% of any sale of Dembele according to the report.

With only one year left on his contract, you would think that Lyon would be looking to move him on quite sharply rather than risk losing him for free when he can speak to clubs after December.

Dembele has been a success at the French side. After 144 appearances, Dembele has netted 67 times and assisted 18.

Although he has not picked up any major honours at Lyon, his personal performances have been as such that he has been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham from the EPl as well as Fenerbahce from the Turkish Superliga.

Hopefully we could witness a bidding war take place to help inflate the price to help add some funds to Ange Postecoglou’s transfer budget.
