This is something I definitely thought I wouldn’t be reporting on.
After today’s blistering performance against Dundee at Dens Park, a stunning 4-2 win means Celtic keep the pressure on their closest rivals at the top of the league heading into the international break.
With Hoops boss, Ange Postecoglou, now hoping that all his stars that are heading off on international return with a clean bill of health, he was at least hoping that he sent the Celtic fans away happy to enjoy the international break on a high.
With superb doubles from Jota and Kyogo, the fans have got a lot to be happy about. You would think right?
Wrong.
A Celtic fan call the Daily Record Hotline with a rant that can only be described as the rantings of a madman as he took the scatter gun out on the defence and Ange’s backroom team.
Caller Jimmy said, “Yet another shocking defensive performance from Celtic.
“Absolutely clueless.
“They’ll win nothing as long as they hold on to the two hangers-on John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan.
“Ange Postecoglou has to get real coaches in.
“It’s disgusting that he’s had this pair forced upon him.”
Where to even start with this one?
Another shocking defensive performance?! How many clean sheets have we had this season and who has the best defensive record in the league?
After a poor start to the season, we are now unbeaten since September which includes difficult away wins at Aberdeen, Hibs and Ferencvaros.
And the coaches? Where they called into question when we managed to gain clean sheets against St Johnstone, Ferencvaros and Motherwell?
I think ‘Jimmy’ needs to take a lie down and enjoy what he watched today.
