As a task set by Celtic TV, Brendan Rodgers was given the opportunity to select his Ultimate Celtic eleven.
The only restriction on naming his team is that only one player could be a Lisbon Lion while another had to be a more current player:

Verdict:
It’s always very difficult to choose an all time eleven. Do you pick the best eleven players who have played for Celtic, or do you go with a team that could work well together?

CB – Aitken
CB – Elliott
LB – Rogan
DM – Brown
CM – McStay
CM – Burns
RW – Johnstone
LW – Dalglish
ST – Larsson
Some may debate a couple of the inclusions above, but all in all it is a pretty formidable team that could given anyone a game in any era.
