Paddy Power has that incredible knack of making a headline. From it’s social media campaigns to simple but effective television adverts, the betting company certainly have a way of making a statement and the public do love it. Today, was different to no any other day as the betting company announced their weekly update on who their favourite is for the Celtic manager position, and Celtic fans will be happy that one stellar name is simply not going away!

Should Neil Lennon be Celtic manager next season?

YES

NO

Through The Glasgow Evening Times, a spokesperson for Paddy Power said,  “Rafa Benitez remains the favourite to be next Celtic manager – dreams can still come true – but he’s now joint-favourite, alongside Scotland manager Steve Clarke, with each man priced at 11/10.

“Putting my tin foil hat on, it would make sense why the Celtic board are waiting to dispense of the incumbent manager – they want his replacement to bomb out of the Euros first this summer.”

As the “will they, won’t they” seesaw storyline of the Parkhead board possibly, maybe or almost certainly due to come out and say nothing to the fans, this story will no doubt continue until either Lennon himself resigns (which isn’t likely) or the Celtic board find a set (which isn’t likely) and do the honourable thing and show Neil the door.
