Celtic youngsters are being talked about a lot during this international break.

From procuring new talent to current members of the youth ranks signing new deals, this international break has seen, mostly, good news being reported on the youth front.

Well, except for Ben Doak, but there could still be time to change that (I say more in hope).

But there has also been bad news so far in the first week of the break.

Johnny Kenny was stretchered off in the 35th minute of his latest turnout for the Ireland u19’s with a knee injury. It is not known how bad the injury is but from the pictures, it certainly doesn’t look like he will be back in action anytime soon.

Having just processed that piece of news, Crew Alexandra have also announced that on loan Celtic midfielder Scott Robertson is set to return to the club as he recovers from surgery to a recent injury.

League One side, Crew Alexandra released a statement yesterday wishing the ‘tenacious’ midfielder a speedy recovery.

Robertson had just recovered from a long term hamstring injury before joining Crewe on loan where he has made 23 appearances.

Robertson served a three game ban for stamping on an opponent but had not featured in the last eight games for the relegation threatened side.

Here’s hoping he makes a speedy recovery in time for the new season.
