And just when Talksport got back into my good books after Simon Jordan’s comments about Ange Postecoglou, true to form, they slip back into their anti-Celtic, anti-Scottish narrative that is becoming as predictable as it is boring.
I’ll never understand why they continue to take every opportunity to take a dig at our club and our league when they have so much positivity going on down there.
Like Manchester City for example……..
So when they start this nonsense about Leeds being a bigger club than Celtic, the game’s a bogey.
They conflate money and budgets as equating to being a ‘big club’. It’s absolutely lazy punditry for the hard of thinking but it appeals to their audience.
🧐 O’Hara: “Would Ange leave for Leeds? Are they a bigger club?”
🤷♂️ Caller: “Brendan Rodgers left for Leicester, we’re bigger than #LCFC!”
✅ Cundy: “You are leaving if Leeds are in the Premier League!”

And the brilliant thing about this is that whenever conversations like this arise, Scottish football unites and rallies to not only defend their clubs, but also our league that is one of the best supported per capita in the whole of Europe:
When Leeds were a big or massive club in the 70s celtic beat them home and away in the semifinals of the European cup Hamden official attendance that night was 134000 but it was reported that there were more than 150000 thousand in the stadium that night I know I was there and I was lifted over the turnstiles that night
