The news that Tom Rogic is set to leave Celtic at the end of the season hit the fans hard.
It was one of those rumours that you hear about weeks in advance but don’t want to believe it.
When the news dropped last week it came as a bitter blow as Rogic has been key to Celtic’s successes in the last nine years.
And under Ange Postecoglou, the Aussie had found a new lease of life.
Rogic will be forever remembered for ‘that’ goal. The treble winning goal against Aberdeen was a thing of beauty.
It was his trademark that Celtic fans had become accustomed to.
Well, it seems that Rogic is being touted to show off his talents in the EPL.
According to Michael Bridges, Rogic would be an ideal signing for three top flight English Premier Clubs.
Speaking in the GegenPod from Optus Sport [via HITC], Bridges said, “It was absolutely brilliant scenes to see him departing the field, it was a very emotional moment.
“I think the embrace with Ange was for about 30 seconds because I think Ange is gutted that he’s going as well.”
“I’d like to see Tom Rogic getting to a Premier League football club, I still think he has something to offer.
“I wouldn’t mind seeing him at Newcastle actually. I think they are going to go bigger and better but Newcastle United could be an option.”
“I could see him fitting into a Brighton team and I could also see him fitting into a Leeds United team, I think that would be the kind of thing you’re looking at.”
Can you imagine Rogic turning on the style against Man United and Liverpool on a weekly basis?
That really would make me tune into EPL each week.
