We are all hoping that Jota and CCV both sign permanently for the club in the summer.

With the players all currently on a well earned holiday, we probably won’t get any indication in the near future as to how close we are completing those deals until later in the summer.

Let’s hope it’s sooner. And that it’s good news.

But if it’s good transfer news you are after, then maybe this is it.

The financial layout to land Jota and Carter-Vickers will be significant. Anything between £12-£15m if reports are to be believed.

But according to transfer journalist, Dean Jones, that won’t put the club off from investing in further in the first team as Jones predicts that  the Hoops board could be set to back Postecoglou in the summer window.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jones said, “I fully expect, especially with Rangers having success in Europe, that they’ll have an understanding that, ‘we can’t rest on our laurels here’.

“And they will look to probably make two more decent signings on top of those two.”

So it seems that Celtic are well prepared to invest in the team regardless of how the Jota and CCV deals in the summer and investment will be required, especially in the central midfield areas with the imminent departures of Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic at the end of the season.
