We all know the secret to Ange’s success don’t we?

Well actually, we don’t but what we do know is that the Celtic boss has this aura about him that instantly commands respect.

Not in a dictatorial sense, but in a respectful sense.

The players talk about it all the time. how he’s respectful. Makes players feel valued. Wanted.

So I suppose we do know the secret of his success after all but this is the first time I’ve heard this one.

On BBC Sportsound, Neil McCann said, “He is very underestimated. I think as a character. He’s understated as a character but I think his actions are strong.

“I think sometimes leaders those are really obvious to how they project. But there’s a calm assurance about Ange Postecoglou that I see from the side of the pitch in terms of his body language.

“And actually, I think, there’s a wee bit of players who are terrified of him.

“Do you know what I mean about that? But in a good way because they don’t want to let him down because he won’t suffer it and you’ll be out the side.

“I think he’s come in and he’s done a remarkable job. An absolutely brilliant job.”

I’ve never really thought of any players being terrified of the Celtic boss.

I think there is an element of the players not wanting to let the Hoops gaffer down with a poor performance. But terrified?

Nah. If that was the case the team would be playing with fear rather than what we see on the pitch week in, week out which is just sheer joy and confidence.

I get what McCann was alluding to, but I think he’s over dramatised his point.

Listening to a lot of his interviews all over this man is very humble and honest man, the way he talks about his family and what his dad did for him he must be a tremendous boss to work for or with.
