Olivier Ntcham has given Celtic fans some reassuring news after revealing that he has been in touch with Odsonne Edouard ahead of the first derby of the season and in fact, the first of 2020.

The pair are close friends and The Scottish Sun has reported on how his teammate is coping having to isolate after testing positive for coronavirus at the start of the international break:

“I think these things are always a shock, but I spoke with Odsonne and he’s doing okay, he’s feeling good and recovering well.

“He’s keeping active every day and the club and the French football organisation have handled it well.

Thankfully – if that is the right term – Edouard tested positive at the start of the international break meaning he will just be available to return to Glasgow on the day before the game, it’s not like he has been injured and it would be a surprise if he is excluded from the starting line-up, the player himself spoke of how he was feeling shortly after his test results were revealed:
“Thank you all for your messages of support ! I’m fine and I would come back stronger, Take care of yourself and your family.”

Will Edouard start?

With Ryan Christie also isolating, there is every chance that the two Frenchmen could be lining up alongside each other and charged with breaking down Rangers defence, something they have managed with consummate ease on more than one occasion in the past.
