Romano tweeted this afternoon that negotiations had been ongoing in the “last hours” and the Hoops supporters will be hoping that the deal is sealed before the end of the week.

Romano has pretty much got every single bit of Celtic’s transfer business spot on this window, so the fans will be encouraged that the club are making moves to address a significant weakness in the team.
Celtic got a busy and crucial month ahead with Jablonec in the Europa League qualifier on Thursday night at Celtic Park and welcome Dundee’s visit at Paradise on Sunday.
With a fan demonstration organised at 1pm on Sunday before the Dundee clash, the Celtic board will be hoping that the recent signings will help take the heat of them short term, but much work is still ahead of them with another Europa League qualifier, a League Cup tie against Hearts and then the Glasgow Derby at the end of the month.
