Right Celtic, let’s just get this done!

I’m fed up reading and listening to journalists and pundits making claims about Cameron Carter-Vickers supposed transfer to the club.

‘Advanced talks’, or ‘certain to sign’ or whatever else other speculative nonsense that is going about needs to stop.

Because it is getting tiresome.

And it seems yet another EPL club is looking to gazump the Parkhead clubs bid to land the American.

Southampton are now said to be interested in signing the bulky defender as his form for the bhoys is now being noted by our friends south of the border.

According to the Daily Echo, The Saints are keeping close tabs on the stopper as they claim that Carter-Vickers fits the clubs ‘profile’ for targets.

Plus the fact he plays for Celtic as Southampton and the Hoops do have previous history in transfer business over recent years.

But there is no doubt our club remains in the driving seat to capture CCV.

He has already tasted glory in picking up his first ever winners medal by lifting the Premier Sports Cup and he is also about to become a Scottish champion with direct access to the Champions League group stages.

All that, and playing in front of 60,000 fans every week should, surely, be enough to convince CCV that his home is at Paradise.

Shouldn’t it?
