The transfer merry go round continues this morning as we wake up to news that Fraser Forster has rejected a contract worth £70,000 per week at Southampton.
Quite how that links him for a move to Celtic where he would earn less than half the salary he has just been offered is beyond me but this is not what this article is about.
Former Celtic left back, Emilio Izaguirre has revealed in an interview with Honduran media outlet Diario Diez, that he has recommended an exciting talent to the Hoops as the Parkhead club continue their search for defensive options.
In a tweet delivered by journalist Gustavo Roca, the player in question is Honduras defender Kervin Arriaga and he has claimed that the club intend to scout the 23 year old whilst he is at the Olympics:
Emilio Izaguirre, en entrevista con @DiarioDiezHn reveló que recomendó al Celtic el fichaje de Kervin Arriaga (23). La intención es que lo vieran en los Olímpicos.
🗣️"Cuando vi a Arriaga me gustó mucho cómo juega, es un jugador de exportación y que puede ser de élite en Europa". pic.twitter.com/Fi4S8jjUvU

The tweet translates as: Emilio Izaguirre, in an interview with @DiarioDiezHn revealed that he recommended to Celtic the signing of Kervin Arriaga (23). The intention is for them to see it at the Olympics.
“When I saw Arriaga I really liked how he plays, he is an export player and he can be an elite in Europe.”
Arriaga currently plays for CD Marathon and can play either right back or centre back.
Izaguirre, as we all know, was a quality player for the Hoops and knows what it takes to succeed in Glasgow and his recommendation should not be taken lightly.
As Celtic have been linked with numerous right backs and central defenders in recent days and with only six weeks left of the transfer window, the supporters will be watching with intent to see who Ange Postecoglou will bring in to strengthen the squad.
