I keep talking about Celtic’s transfer business in this blog and when I leave it, I will continue to do so in my new role because it is nothing short of incredible.
How one manager can find so much talent in such a short space of time is amazing.
Ange Postecoglou is a miracle worker when it comes to the transfer game.
Almost all of his signings have been a success and what it has also done is create brilliant competition for places.
So much so that players like Matt O’Riley and Liel Abada need to cool their heels on the bench for a bit.
And it looks like one of those two have now earned their starting spot in the side according to Mark Guidi.
Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Guidi said, “Abada is 21. £3m again what a piece of business.
“To come to a new country and have such an impact.
“He’s had wee dip here and there but Celtic have got options to freshen it up.
“But he’s been sensational.
“You look at his assists, you look at his goals, you look at his desire.
“To the best of my knowledge, he’s low maintenance and never a minute’s trouble from him off the park.
“So you look at that he’s been, again, another hell of a find for Celtic.”
I’m a massive fan of Abada.
I’ve said consistently that he is one of our better attacking options but I am also a huge fan of what Maeda brings to the team as well.
It’s a great headache to have and one that Ange Postecoglou has to manage and manage well.
