How To Get The Best Out Of Our Strikers

This season has started like the last ended, with both of our star strikers scoring freely although, I don’t believe starting Kyogo or Giakoumakis greatly weakens the side, Kyogo is the best from the start with Giakoumakis best used as a super sub.

The Celtic number 7 changes a game with his strength, heading ability, and his strikers instinct to be at the right place at the right time, the stats from last season support this with Giakoumakis having the best goals per minute ratio in the league with the Greek averaging 81 minutes per goal last season, he knows exactly how to maximise the minutes he’s given, which he showed at the weekend with his stunning overhead kick.

Kyogo’s energy and press is extremely valuable to the fast start that we have enjoyed under Ange, if he had stayed fit last season he would have surely far surpassed the 20 goals he did score in the last campaign, he’s picked up where he left off this season with his current two in his last two games.

This is a fabulous problem to have for any manager to have two front man of such quality firing on all cylinders simultaneously.
