Every Celtic fan knows this transfer window was going to be a busy one. With seven incomings already through the famous Parkhead gates there are also one or two more outgoings that have been predicted to happen this summer.

And yes, the Odsonne Edouard one is one that will happen, but we just don’t know when.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, journalist Hugh Keevins has given his prediction on when Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is likely to leave the club and it looks like the £18m will be in the bank before next Saturday,  “Next Saturday I don’t think Odsonne Edouard will be at the club. It’s between Brighton and Southampton.

“Therefore, there’s an even greater need (for a striker).  Because Leigh Griffiths has problems with the Celtics supporters and that gives Ange Postecoglou a problem.

“They do need a striker, maybe even more than one. And the money is certainly there.

“Celtic have brought in fortunes this season in the transfer market.

“Jeremy Frimpong, Kristoffer Ajer and if Edouard goes, even more money even though PSG have to get their cut.

“There is money there. And they badly needed a striker.”

And, it pains me to say it, Keevins is correct. The money is there and with Ajeti clearly not fancied by Postecoglou and the well documented issues with Griffiths, there is still at least two strikers required at Celtic to offer suitable cover should new bhoy Kyogo ever get injured or need a rest.

But, you never know. Ange could be happy with Griffiths and Ajeti as back up and with Celtic tipped to land Hibs striker Kevin Nesbit the need for reinforcements up front may not looks as dire as some predict.
