Celtic’s Saturday performance against Kilmarnock has given supporters renewed faith that their side can navigate a difficult December successfully.
The busy month is critical in shaping the direction that the Hoops’ season takes, with vital clashes both in the league and in European competition.
Killie arrived at Celtic Park on Saturday top of the table, but a 5-1 victory sent a statement that Celtic are still the team to beat in Scotland, reclaiming their number position in the Scottish Premierhsip.
At the heart of the win was James Forrest, who scored another double to help sink Steve Clarke’s men.
The winger has now scored an impressive 11 goals this season, also creating 13 assists to emerge as the team’s prime attacking outlet. On this kind of form his bid to win various player of the year awards might be undeniable.
