We are desperate for two pieces of contract news now that CCV has been announced as an ‘official’ Celtic player now aren’t we?

Now we want news on Jota and Ange Postecoglou’s contract at Celtic to be extended.

With the Portuguese wingers future still undecided, Sky Sports Anthony Joseph filled us in on how he believes the Celtic managers contract negotiations are going to go.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Joseph said, “Celtic do this with new managers all the time; they have done since the start of the century.

“[Martin] O’Neill was on a rolling contract, [Gordon] Strachan, [Neil] Lennon, [Tony] Mowbray, Lennon again and Brendan Rodgers as well was on a rolling contract, and then they usually sign if their first year has been successful or Celtic see it going somewhere.

“That’s when they end up tying them down on a longer term contract.

“And I think that’s what’s going to happen here. There’s been no change there with Celtic’s approach, and it’s just a case of when, rather than if, I think.”

That sounds really positive from a journalist widely regarded as reliable by the Celtic support.

And what a week it would be if Celtic announced Jota and Ange extending their stays officially at the club.

The title advantage would already be given to us should that happen.
