Celtic’s transfer rumours are really starting to hot up now.
As the club confirmed the signing of Cameron Carter-Vickers on Friday, the fans have been waiting on news of whether or not Jota will sign on permanently with the club.
There is nothing coming out of Celtic or Jota’s camp at the moment, but hopefully a deal is well along the way.
But this transfer update is not about Jota, it’s about Mohanad Jeahze.
Jeahze has been seriously linked with the Hoops for a number of weeks now and journalist, Anthony Joseph has dropped the latest update on the move for the Iraqi left back.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Sky Sports journalist said, “They’ve already approached Mohanad Jeahze at Hammarby, and talks progressed to an advanced stage is what I was told.
“They haven’t gone any further yet, that doesn’t mean the deal is off the cards, it just means nothing has progressed any further.”
This isn’t the first time Anthony has dropped an update on Jeahze.
In fact, just a couple of weeks ago the trusted journalist dropped major transfer update and the Hammarby left back was also mentioned in that one.
So it seems that Joseph is correct. Although the deal has run cold for a bit, at least we now know it is not dead in the water.

He signs, good, we’ve all seen he’s a player who can add to our first team; he doesn’t, we move on and sign one of the options the club has waiting in the wings instead…the Transfer Windows only been open a few days, so still plenty of time to get deals done, though we all want to see them asap!

…which is 4 more than our CL squad allows, 2 if we replace the bracketed players above.
We’d still need to buy ‘locally trained players’ to replace the ** players, or promote from our own clubs youth system to replace the * players.
Suppose we could make do with:

1 Centre Forward
1 Left Back
1 Midfielder
…and replace Bain and Jullien?
