It’s almost time for the silly season. No. Not Christmas, but the transfer window.

With fifty four days until the transfer door swings open and starts the party, there have already been numerous transfer stories linked to the club over the last couple of days.

With Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Henrique Fernandez all being touted for moves to Paradise, it’s a player who is already at the club that has caught not only the imagination of the fans, but also the press.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, journalist, Mark Guidi, has urged the Celtic manager, Ange Postecoglou to get the board to shell out the £6m fee required to bring the tricky Portuguese winger to Parkhead permanently. “Sign him. Yeah just get the chequebook out. Get a deal done as quickly as possible. Take any uncertainty away.

“He’s 22 years old,  you know, he’s showed that he’s not needed time to settle. He’s come in and he’s hit the ground running.

“He’s got fantastic sell on value as well. And you know if you had to lose Jota, yeah, James Forrest is there of course, and you’ve got Abada.

“There’s nobody else. So you’re leaving yourself short. And then you need to go and find somebody else, you’re taking a gamble. It’s a lot of money.

“But the money’s there they go and do it. And if I’m Ange Postecoglou, I’m demanding to the board, that deal gets done, and the sooner the better.”

Jota has forged an incredible trio with Kyogo and Abada and they showed on Thursday night what they can do when they are their brilliant best.

Jota is a serious player. When you think the club paid out £5m for Ajeti, they would be insane to let this boy slip through the net.
