Celtic fans are again asking questions about the state of refereeing in Scotland after watching Andrew Dallas in action this weekend.

The official took charge of the match between Rangers and St Mirren on Saturday and unbelievably gave Steven Gerrard’s side FOUR penalties.

It helped the Gers beat the Buddies 4-0 and pick up all three points in the Scottish Premiership clash.

While one of the calls appears to have been refereed correctly, three of the penalty decisions looked dubious at best, sparking debate about whether Dallas is capable of refereeing at top-flight level.

He has made a number of howlers this season and is becoming something of a pantomime figure due to his erratic decisions.

The big beneficiary this weekend was Rangers and that’s left Celtic supporters questioning whether he is quite as impartial as he is supposed to be.

Has the referee been promoted too quickly to take charge of big matches?

These fans took to Twitter this weekend to share their thoughts…
