VAR has caused all kinds of controversy in Scotland. From shocking penalty awards and non-awards to contentious red cards and offsides, the new video technology is causing more problems than it solves.
Celtic fans were desperate to see VAR come in. We believed it would stop the ‘honest mistakes’ and balance up an officiating system that has always seemed inherently biased to one club in Scotland.
With all that has gone on, we asked the Celtic fans Is Scottish football corrupt? in a poll that has been running since the 7th of January.
The poll was answered by 3109 fans of this site and in their opinion, 97% agreed that the game in this country is rigged.

Unfortunately, I don’t have the names and addresses of the 3% that reckoned it wasn’t so I can’t publish them here.
I joke, of course, but the sheer volume of fans that believe there is something dodgy going on in Scottish football against our club is remarkable.
I mean, I know a lot of fans believe that the game is bent, but 97% is incredible.
So is it now time to have an open and honest debate about the standard of refereeing in this country?
Is it time to now ask the refs to declare their football allegiances when they sign up to the SFA?
That time was decades ago but in my opinion, both will never happen.
If we did ask referees to declare their footballing allegiances, Rangers would never be able to fulfil their fixture card!
