When Celtic lost to Rangers in the Scottish Cup, there was an hysterical reaction to the defeat by the media and pundits alike.
Questioning Celtic’s bottle for the run in when they have been unbeaten since September pundits like Hugh Keevins and Barry Ferguson were lamenting the defeat and pushing an anti Celtic narrative that is simply embarrassing.
One of the only non Celtic pundits to rubbish these claims was Mark Guidi. Vital Celtic wrote about how Guidi made this bold prediction, “They will not slip up. Celtic will go on and win the title.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if Celtic won the last five games and actually just really go on and hammer home a message between now and the end of the season.”
And these Celtic fans agreed:
Danny Breen wasn’t happy with Rangers game being moved this weekend: “Wish club come out ask get game changed Saturday. 30 million pound at stake here, we shouldn’t be given any club help.
“So good enough for them, good enough for us. £30million goalposts should not be getting moved.”
Frankie has confidence in the Celtic manager: “What I love is Ange has put that game behind him like water off a ducks back and is looking to the future and will get his players to the same lengths.”
Pan offered encouragement to the team: “Let’s hammer the message home bhoys.”
And John was more concerned about our rivals Europa League prize money: “Have you not heard the prize money is between 17 and 30 million?
“It was only 40 million when Rangers were top of the league. Rangers are also going to earn 24.5 million from the Europa League, which is about 9 or 10 million more than last years winners. Who would have thunk it?”
