A good news transfer story? Surely not?

It’s not very often you see one of these when Celtic are winning as we have had to deal with a whole host of nonsense being written about our club over the last few weeks.

From Ange Postecoglou to Tottenham, to Maeda to Southampton, Matt O’Riley being touted the EPL,  the unending rumours about our players and manager leaving the club leave me feeling exhausted with frustration at our media in Scotland.

And a lot of the time, the rumours are without foundation, as I have exposed on here before.

So when I hear of a positive transfer story, it’s only right that we report on that with at least a bit of enthusiasm, right?

According to Pete O’Rourke in Football Insider, Kyogo Furuhashi, Liel Abada and Jota are all in the frame for to be offered a new contract at the club due to their outstanding form.

Out of the three, Abada has been linked to a move to Crystal Palace, and whilst Kyogo has as well, there is less of a chance of that happening simply down to how indisposable he is at the moment.

Only Abada really has a slight (and I mean slight as in minuscule) doubt about his future due to lack of playing time but he has been a great impact player for us from the bench and I just cannot see Ange Postecoglou entertaining any notion of letting him leave.

With all three having over two years left on their contracts, it will do no harm to explore the option of offering improved deals, if only to send out a statement that this Celtic side is solid and going nowhere.

Call yourself a true Celtic fan? How well do you know the European Cup winning season?

Respectfully I disagree with your thinking on Abada. If he indicates he wants to go, Ange will let him go without batting an eyelid!
I also think the same will apply to every player on the books!
