Just a couple of days ago Vital Celtic reported on how the club made an approach for Bristol City’s, Anotoine Semenyo.

Semenyo is seemingly on Ange Postecoglou’s radar as he attacker is entering into the last year of his contract.

After sending a scout to watch the 20 year old, his agent, Tony Finnigan, confirmed that there had been approach from Craig Strachan about the availability of the striker, “I had a conversation with Strachan who rang up to ask little bits of info on the player and a bit about how I found him and what he’s like as a lad.

“That was it. If it’s something they’re going to do in the summer window I’m not sure but it’s nice to know that his talents are going as far as Scotland to one of the great institutions in world football.

“There’s not really much more to say than that.”

Well there is much to say now as trusted transfer journalist Pete O’Rourke broke the news of the price that Bristol City are demanding for their popular forward.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, O’Rourke said, “I think if Bristol City are pricing him at £20 million, that will definitely price him out of Celtic’s bracket right now.”

A huge ask for a club like Celtic to pay even half that amount which makes the forward a more viable target for the English Premier League clubs.

Disappointing? Yes.

But knowing Ange, he will have a back up plan that will surprise everybody.
