Celtic fans are taking great joy in the contract termination of Rangers defender Fabio Cardoso, after the Ibrox club confirmed he had left the club in a statement on Monday.
The Portuguese defender was one Pedro Caixinha’s much-hyped signings last summer, with the then Rangers boss insisting that he had a big future and would one day play for his national team.
He ended up making just 18 appearances last season, falling out of the first-team at Ibrox after a series of dismal defensive displays.
Now, even though he signed a three-year contract last summer, his contract has been mutually terminated.
Their scatter gun approach to signings continues to prove to be a terrible way to do business. The revolving door at Ibrox barely stops spinning, a trend that has continued this summer under the management of Steven Gerrard.
