This will be the last word I write on this subject as I think it needs laid to rest.
Celtic are on the cusp of a league and cup double this season but it could have all been so different if the team had turned up last Sunday and defeated Rangers in the Scottish cUp.
As it happens, they didn’t and Rangers put them away and booked their place in the final against Hearts.
But as bed as Celtic were, referee Bobby Madden came under serious fire for his performance on that day. From both camps.
Whilst no one claims that his performance cost Celtic the match, there is no doubt that certain tackles committed by the Rangers players should have been dealt with more harshly than they were on the day.
But as the furore of that day has now died down, a survey taken by Vital Celtic in which over 3000 people participated in has revealed that the fans believe Madden should not referee another Celtic game again.
The performance by the whistler is deemed so bad that podcaster, The Celtic Exchange, blasted Madden in his post match podcast.
An astounding 96% of Celtic fans believed that Madden should not be given the rule of another Celtic fixture in a damning indictment of the distrust the fans have of the referee getting the bog calls right.
We all know that won’t happen though. Unless we send an eight point dossier to the SFA…………………..

This guy should be asked about his judgement that day on certain career threatening tackles on Celtic players he is there to see the game is fair and to protect the players which he never did because of the team he follows he should never ref another game again involving Celtic.
