There is going to be days and days being spent written on this subject isn’t there?

And there will be by this site as I try to garner every journalists’ opinion and scrabble together facts, if any materialise, about why Dom McKay left Celtic Park late on Friday afternoon,

We’ve had the usual ‘jumped before he was pushed‘ and ‘somebody was stepping on his toes‘ and then the potential names that are being pulled out for McKay’s replacement before his seat has even gone cold at Celtic Park.

Next up to offer his theory on why Celtic find themselves without a CEO is Hugh Keevins.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Hugh was getting a bit of a roasting as he seemed to suggest that Celtic handing so many player home debuts is a bad thing (you need to listen to it), as it seemed to suggest bad transfer management by McKay.

And Hugh seemed to base that as one of his reasons why McKay is not in the Paradise hot seat any longer, “I think one of the reasons why Dom McKay is not there anymore is that Ange Postecoglou said at one point, if you remember, ‘I don’t know if I’m making myself clear enough.’ with regard to getting players in.”

Host Gordon Duncan hardly seemed enamoured when he replied, “That’s interesting speculation.”

But to be fair to Hugh, that’s exactly all everyone has at this moment. Speculation.

But I think the issue with Keevins’ assertion is the whole negative conjecture at which he based his point on.

And Gordon Duncan summed it up properly when he posed this question to Hugh, which he funnily enough glazed over, “Are Man Utd criticised for taking too long in getting Ronaldo in?”

Clearly not. That criticism seems solely reserved for Celtic eh Hugh?
