Celtic do seem to have had a good transfer window. I would say the majority of the fans are happy with the incomings and mainly the outgoings too.

With Edouard, Christie, Ajer and Ntcham all gone, some much needed harmony and balance will now be brought to the dressing room, and also to Postecoglou, as he will now no longer need to field daily questions about their futures.

The Celtic gaffer can now focus on integrating his new signings into the club to mount his challenge on Europe and the Scottish league and journalist Hugh Keevins, has warned that that task MUST happen now, and quickly.

Speaking on Clyde 1  Superscoreboard, Keevins ran the rule over the clubs transfer policy and decided to take another swing at the board for the summer managerial hunt and, strangely, last seasons signing policy, “Edouard’s now gone for £15 million. It’s terrific money, they’ve had to put money out to get players in. And a lot of the criticism directed towards Celtic has been absolutely justified.

“They’ve made terrible buys. And the Eddie Howe business was a fiasco.

“Now though, can you bring all these players together from Portugal, from Holland, from Japan. Can they all gel quickly? As quickly as you need them to do because they have gone three behind Rangers.

“They have very tough fixtures coming up Celtic. Everyone knows the story. They can beat up St Mirren. They can beat up Dundee but when push comes to shove against Rangers they couldn’t do it.

“So, they’ve got big tests. Hibs,  Hearts and Aberdeen and they have to assimilate these players very quickly.”
