Celtic Word On The Tweet

‘Type of player we need’ – This transfer rumour has intrigued some Celtic fans this January

|

Some Celtic fans were excited to hear this week that the club are interested in a move for Columbus Crew midfielder Wil Trapp during the January transfer window.

The Hoops were linked with the 25-year-old by outlets such as The Scotsman, as Brendan Rodgers continues to waste no time in adding talent to his first-team squad.

The club have already completed moves for attacking trio Oliver Burke, Timothy Weah and Vakoun Issouf Bayo.

However, we depth need in the middle of the park too, could Trapp fit the bill?

The 11-cap United States international has plenty of experience having made over 175 appearances for Columbus Crew but a move to Europe would be a big step up in his career.

With Scott Brown ageing and Olivier Ntcham lacking form, a January move for the player would certainly be intriguing and these fans were pretty pleased to hear we could be in for him, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts…
