Out of Scottish football for over a year but with over two decades of experience in the game, he should know better than to come out with nonsense like this.
Even taking off my green-tinted specs for a minute even I know that with all the best will in the world, not one single Rangers fan believes it when Rae claims that the league could still be won.

But Alex Rae does.
Rae reckons that even if Rangers beat us at Ibrox in January, then with the gap reduced to six points, ‘you never know’.
Except we do.
You are then banking on Celtic losing a further two games in the league and for Rangers to go undefeated for the rest of the season (which also means they need to beat us twice again) with the same group of disinterested players, of whom, TEN are out of contract at the end of the season for the Ibrox club to win the league.
At least be realistic. Ange will never let his team’s standards slip that much. Surely even Rae has seen that over the last 18 months?
Got to admire his optimism though.
