This is a transfer saga that certainly doesn’t seem to be going away.

With many pundits, journalists and media men all having their say on where Carter-Vickers will end up playing his football, the general consensus of opinion is that he will eventually end up at Celtic Park.

Until now.

Dean Jones, a journalist specialising in transfer activity, has given his tuppence worth on where he sees Carter-Vickers future and it doesn’t sound too positive for the Hoops support.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jones said, “In terms of Carter-Vickers, the player has not made a decision yet.

“It sounds to me like he would rather be in the Premier League if possible, but he needs to see what opportunities genuinely open up.”

The American defender has been a stalwart for Celtic this season featuring forty times in the hoops and picking up a league cup winners medal and is almost certain to top that haul with a SPFL winners medal should Celtic go on a five game unbeaten run to see out the season.

Capped eight times for his country, Carter-Vickers needs to find himself a club where he can push on and add to his international tally and it was thought that could happen at Celtic.

After Jones’ comments, it does look like he is waiting to the end of the season before deciding on his final destination.
