After reaching the top of the league midweek, Celtic hope to cement their place at the summit with three points at Motherwell this afternoon.

But it seems Ange could have a ‘big call’ to make ahead of this afternoons league meeting as the Hoops big French defender Christopher Jullien hopes to make a return to first team action.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Hartson said, “I think, I know Carter Vickers is the more dominant one of the two in protecting Starfelt a lot.

“But I think Starfelt has come into a game. Yes, he’s got a mistake in him.

“But I think Angie’s paid £4.5 million for him. Yeah he’s trying to get Jullien back. He is a great option. So is Welsh.

“But I’m not too sure whether I break these two up at the minute. I really wouldn’t.

“And I think Jullien needs to be shown on the training ground that is ready. I know he’d be hungry.

“He’s been out a long time to play, but it’s a big call. It’s a big call to split your to centre halves when they’ve been together for the majority of the season.

“So it’s a huge call and I’m glad I’m not the one who’s making it.”

I know I wouldn’t be of a mind to drop Starfelt at this crucial stage of the season.

There are those within the media that would never like to see him in a Celtic shirt again, but he’s got us where we are the now.

Top of the league. The best defensive record in the league.

He deserves his place in the team.

Ok so playing devils advocate, Julien and Starfeld are here next season, CCV is yet to commit so does he get dropped for Julien. My view is if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Julien will get his chance, he needs to bide his time.
