Since then, he has used the clubs name for publicity to farm out Erik Sviatchenko is now being tipped to scoop the Parkhead club to the signature of popular defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.
According to Leicestershire Mercury, Rodgers could be looking to scupper the deal between Celtic and Spurs in the aftermath of SBI Soccers revelation that the Hoops are in advanced talks to bring the American international to Parkhead permanently.
Postecoglou is a massive fan of the defender and it does seem that talks are ongoing as the Celtic manager said, “If I say we’re closer, it’s as if something’s happened.
“Those discussions will be taking place over the course of the next period.
“Michael [Nicholson, chief executive] is at the forefront of that with the players themselves. It will take care of itself.”
Celtic will be desperate to land the defender as they look to strengthen the squad for next seasons assault on next seasons Champions League groups stages.

If Cameron wants to stay, he will stay. If he wants to go, he will go.
Unless Celtic play silly buggers, then I’m sure he will want to stay. He will have a good salary and a very friendly and supportive environment if he makes the right choice. It is his choice to make.
