As Celtic seemingly prepare to announce Eddie Howe as their next manager in the next few days, the rebuilding job at Celtic Park will become just that bit more difficult if ex Hoops boss, Brendan Rodgers, gets his way.
It has been well documented that Rodgers is a long term admirer of Parkhead duo Odsonne Edouard and Callum McGregor and reports have surfaced that the Leicester City boss plans to make his move for the players in the summer.
The Daily Mail has disclosed plans that Rodgers particularly sees McGregor as an ideal addition to his midfield options of James Maddison, Wilfried Ndidi and Youri Tielemans and it would be difficult to see where and how exactly McGregor would displace one of Rodgers first team selections when their form has consistently kept Leicester in about the top four in the English Premier League.

Rodgers’ respect and admiration for Odsonne Edouard is also the worlds worst kept secret and the reports of the Northern Irishman making his move for the French u21 international will come as no surprise to the Hoops fans.
Celtic are resigned to losing Edouard even if Howe becomes the next Celtic manager as the young Frenchman continues to renege on extending his current contract.
The Hoops will need to offload the wantaway star or risk losing him for nothing next summer as he will become free to talk to other clubs in January.
