It’s been a long week hasn’t it?

Celtic’s transfer business has ben the subject of much speculation and with the club linked to three players this week, it does seem as though Ange Postecoglou is trying to replicate his winter window shenanigans by getting players in early for the season kicking off at the end of July.

But the main focus of attention on this report is of Alexandre Mendy.

Touted for a move to Paradise after a €3m offer was reported by the French media, it seems that comments made by his agent in early April may have quashed any hope of a deal being done.

As reported by Le10Sport back at the beginning of April [Thanks to 67 Hail Hail] Yacine Ayad said, “He is followed by European clubs. Alexandre is focused on his good season and wants to do everything possible to ensure that the team finishes in the best place.

“There is no departure on the agenda, Alexandre will be at Caen next season.”

Now a lot can change in football and the opportunity to come to a club like Celtic, especially when Champions League football is all but guaranteed, could be enough for Mendy have his head turned and make the move to Paradise.

If a €3m offer has been submitted, I have yet to see a report claiming it has been rejected……………………..
