After Celtic’s latest points dropping exercise, the support are, in the main, rather split in their opinions on what that result actually means.
Some think that the league is over, others are thinking that there is still plenty of games to go to challenge for the title and others just throw the scattergun about.
But as with all disappointing results, criticism will follow. Which is fine, as long as it’s balanced.
Tom English’s latest tweet certainly wasn’t as he seems to think that Celtic rely only on one player in Kyogo to get a result whilst quickly forgetting we got one against Real Betis and Dundee United without him.
And before anyone jumps in, we scored all our goals against Betis when Kyogo wasn’t on the park. So there.
Tom tweeted:
A gobsmacking point for depleted St Mirren against a Kyogo-less Celtic. I didn’t see that coming, to put it mildly. Fantastic result for Jim Goodwin and his players after a tough few days. Sore one for Celtic. They’re reliant on Kyogo to an unhealthy degree.

Tom clearly forgot that we are not just missing Kyogo though and the Celtic fans were quick to point that out whilst some also agreed with his point:
Kyogo-less? Missing Jota, Forrest, Hart, Starfelt, Turnbull, and a few other players. https://t.co/Cki1z3WmFu

Hard to disagree. With Henrik we had a backup. Don't see that now. Needs fixed in Jan. https://t.co/gDdmQhDIQX

Come off it Tom. Giakoumakis, Jota, Forrest and Ajeti all injured is rank bad luck. Mikey Johnson not good enough but these results happen occasionally. No wonder Sky is turning its back on Scottish football; 11 men behind the ball week in week out. Absolutely murder to watch.

Not so much reliant on Kyogo reliant on having a striker on the pitch.

And Jota! But given where we were at the start of the season, I’ll take that.

You did against Ross County and Motherwell

No Jota, Forrest, Hart, Starfelt, Jullien, Turnbull or Kyogo. We should have scored a few, great goalkeeping but to say we are reliant on just kyogo is very nieve

Tom really has a knack for putting his foot in it and whilst to some degree he was correct, the bigger picture tells you that last nights result was not solely down to missing one player.
The January window will be massive for Celtic this season.
Saints fought for every ball. Their players are fighting for a place in the team when everyone is fit so well done. We have players who under achieve namely mikey for one and abada another. We can win the league no bother once our injured players are back. I’ve watched rangers a few times and honestly they’re rank rotten but have a knack of beating a 10 man defence albeit with a few penalties.
Anyway everyone have a lovely Xmas. Hail hail
