What a day it was yesterday! The amount of transfer speculation and rumour going around surrounding Celtic’s incomings and outgoings.

With Riley McGree seemingly deciding to choose the second tier of English football rather than the title chasing Celtic, Ange Postecoglou is still looking to seal his fifth signing of the window and one thing is for sure, with what has been going on so far, I believe that won’t be too far away.

But this story is not about transfer incomings. Or Jota unfortunately.

Celtic do need to drop some players that simply do not cut the mustard and it seems like Vasilis Barkas may be the next name out of Paradise according to a report from The Scotsman.

With the Greek international not even playing second fiddle to Joe Hart, he is currently behind Scott Bain in the pecking order after the Scotsman received a huge boost with a contract extension earlier in the season.

The report claims that when asked about Barkas’ future, the Celtic gaffer said, ” “We will see what will happens at Celtic or elsewhere.

To me it sounds too diplomatic and I think the 26 year old time is up at Celtic Park.

Having only made one appearance so far and links with moves to Turkey appearing over the last week or so, the future of Barkas is certainly not at Parkhead and for the sake of his domestic and international career, a move away from Glasgow does seem best for the stopper.

Just take the loss on the transfer money and get barkas, ajeti,Holli, soro off the wage bill,we should also be looking to offload some of these fringe players who have obviously not performed as hoped.
