As Celtic seem to be closing in on yet another summer signing, the transfer window is going to stay busy for the remainder of the three weeks it will be open and the Celtic fans are now looking on and wondering what other gems Ange Postecoglou can unearth.

It seems that the big Aussie will not need to look far as Livingston player and Go Radio pundit, Marvin Bartley has said that Kevin Nisbet would be an ideal signing for the Hoops and that the next step for him is to make the switch to Paradise, “Nisbet for me as impressed me more and more. The more I watch him the more impressed with him I am.

“I thought he was kind of an old school number nine kind of ‘fox in the box’ and but he’s got so much more to his game.

“Dropping into kind of the number 10 position we saw against Motherwell. His movement’s fantastic, and this is him playing up front by himself.

“I think he can go to Celtic and can do very, very well I think. That’s kind of the next step for him now

“He’s gone to the Euros and he’s been in the Scotland set up.  I think Celtic is the next step for him and if they can get hold of him he’ll be a fabulous signing for them.

“Young Scottish talent, he’s going to go into Celtic have a buzz about him and want to impress and improve again and that’s the sort of players you want in your changing room.”

The kind of language Bartley used was interesting and it does have a hint of suggestion that a move may be on the cards for the Scotland international to Parkhead. With Edouard expected to leave and speculation regarding Thomas Henry, would a move for Nisbet suit Postecoglou’s style of play?
